Overview

A CNN-based deep learning model for facial skin tone classification, connected to a web app through a Flask REST API.

Background

FineYourTone analyzes a user's photo and classifies their skin tone to recommend suitable colors or products.

Problem Statement

Choosing colors or products that suit one's skin tone is often guesswork, since most people don't have an objective, quick way to classify their own undertone.

Objectives

  • Train a CNN model to classify skin tone from a photo.
  • Expose the model through a lightweight Flask REST API.
  • Recommend colors based on the detected skin tone.
